Our vision.
To give our community an experience with food, cocktails, and fun atmosphere. We serve the best food and drink for every fan. Champions is Hillsboro’s go-to bar and grill for a great time. So please, be our guest!
About the owners.
Jared Bailie grew up in Hillsboro playing Reedville baseball as a kid and graduated from Hillsboro High School. He went on to play baseball for Mt. Hood Community College then Western Oregon University. Sports have run in his blood since he can remember; his older brother played collegiate as well as the minor league baseball. Jared also loves a good round of golf and watching games with friends — especially the Trailblazers!
After working for Columbia Distributing for almost 20 years on the West Portland Metro Area, he was ready to turn his lifelong goal of being the owner and operator of a local restaurant into reality. This is where his partner, Michelle Wales, came into play. Being well acquainted in customer-first based hospitality. The two have put Jared’s dream into reality when Champion’s, formerly Lil’ Cooperstown, became available. While reopening Champion’s, Jared and Michelle are making friendly, quality customer service the top priority. A place you’ll come to for the 20 beers on tap but stay for the atmosphere, delicious fresh food, and cocktails.
Community give back.
Here at champions, giving back to our community is important to us. We’ve supported a number of organizations within our community including:
Reedville Baseball
Ladybug Run
Best Buddies
Rock’n Rooms
Reclaiming Hope Ranch
Thanks to our wonderful patrons, we were able to bring a load of new, unwrapped holiday gifts, as well as cash donations to The Ronald McDonald House for children and families in 2020, 2021 & 2022!
For the 2023 holiday season we partnered with the Hillsboro Elks Lodge to bring unwrapped toys, games, arts & crafts and clothing to families with children in the Hillsboro School District.
Jared and Michelle want to thank all of their family and friends for helping make their dream become reality. Without their hard work and dedication, it wouldn’t have all come together so smoothly. Cheers to them!
